The tour travels through the Clarke Ranges to Eungella National Park and includes visits to Broken River, Eungella Sky Window and Finch Hatton Township.

The tour includes platypus viewing at Broken River, where you may spot a platypus in its natural habitat with a little luck and patience.

Eungella National Park is a vast subtropical rainforest area known as the &ldquo;Land of the Clouds&rdquo; and is one of the few places in Australia where wild platypuses can be spotted.

Depart Airlie Beach at 10.00am and head south towards the lush Clarke Ranges and Eungella National Park, known as the &ldquo;Land of the Clouds&rdquo;. The journey takes you into an ancient subtropical rainforest landscape spanning more than 51,700 hectares.

At Broken River, keep watch for the elusive platypus in the wild. With a little patience and luck, you may spot one of these fascinating creatures in its natural habitat.

Continue through the Eungella region and visit Eungella Sky Window, where you can take in breathtaking views across the surrounding landscape. You&rsquo;ll also visit Finch Hatton Township as part of the day&rsquo;s experience.

Around lunchtime, stop at Pinnacle Family Hotel for lunch, including the famous Pinnacle Pie. Bottled water, light refreshments, plus white wine with cheese and nibbles are also included.
