Gliding through the Broadwater at your own pace is a brilliant way to see the Gold Coast. We love that GoBoat combines fun with sustainability – the boats are electric, quiet, and leave no wake behind. The best part? You don’t need a boat licence, so anyone can give it a go. It’s an easy, social experience that’s perfect for friends, family, or even a date.

A Customer may only cancel a confirmed booking by providing notice in writing to The Operaro in advance of the Hire Period.

Where cancellation notice is provided more than 72 hours prior to the Hire Period, The Operator will refund all monies prepaid by the Customer, less any transaction processing fees imposed on The Operator by its payment processing platform

Where cancellation notice is provided between 72 – 24 hours prior to the Hire Period, the Customer will be provided with a credit of their Hire Charges to use towards future bookings

In the event that the Customer fails to provide at least 24 hours' notice, the full amount of the Hire Charges is payable by the Customer to The Operator, with the exception of a cancellation enforced by The Operator (in which case a credit for the Hire Charges will be provided) or made by the Customer due to inclement weather, in which case a rebooking fee of up to 50% of the value of the Hire Charges may be deducted from any credit

Alternatively, there is a bus stop located approximately 5 minutes' walk away. Breakfast Creek Rd at Newstead House, stop 12.

It's best to plan ahead and BYO; however, you can pre-order items from the award-winning MICA Patisserie. Drinks are also available at the kiosk.

The are toilets on-site. The Operator always recommends a bathroom stop before you boat.

The boats are easy to sail. They are very stable and have a top speed of less than 8km/hm, which is a fast walk. That's why anyone can steer the boat, and it's why you don't need a boat licence. All boats are equipped with electric motors and batteries, which means no smell or pollution.

Each boat has a GPS tracker and remote cut-off switch, which can be activated by GoBoat staff at any time they believe there is a risk to safety or security. Steer the boat by holding the tiller, which is attached to the motor.

Captain your very own electric picnic boat with no experience or boat license required. Sail the Brisbane River and explore Brisbane from the water.

Set sail from Breakfast Creek and cruise along the Brisbane River on an environmentally-friendly electric boat. Enjoy the sun as you enjoy the freedom of piloting a boat on your own.

Your Danish-designed picnic boat is constructed from fibreglass made from recycled PET bottles and has features like a communal recycled timber picnic table, cup holders, bench-style seating, and simple tiller steering.

So pack a picnic basket with you to enjoy under the clear blue sky, and bring a cooler for cold drinks. Choose from a 1, 2, or 3-hour rental and have a relaxing afternoon on the water. It's perfect for couples, families and groups of friends, and is pet friendly too, so all fur babies are welcome.

Each boat can take up to 8 people (including children), and if you are a bigger group, you can book multiple boats at once. Gather your crew and jump aboard!

Note: the price is per boat for up to 8 people.
