The tour runs over two consecutive days. Day One is a full-day waterfalls tour, and Day Two is a half-day rafting experience.

No prior rafting experience is needed. The Barron River is a beginner-friendly Grade 2&ndash;3 river, suitable for most fitness levels.

Yes, there is a mandatory $35 River Levy payable on the day of your rafting tour. This covers park fees and maintenance.

Start with a visit to the Cathedral Fig Tree for an Indigenous Cultural Presentation, before heading to Lake Eacham, for a swim in a volcanic crater lake. After a delicious lunch in Malanda, the day continues with a stop at Millaa Millaa Falls, an absolute iconic waterfall in Cairns. Enjoy your next stop at the natural rockslide at Josephine Falls before wrapping up your day at Babinda Boulders.

Day Two brings the thrill. Head into Barron Gorge National Park for a half-day of white-water rafting on the Barron River. This Grade 2&ndash;3 river is ideal for beginners and those looking for excitement without going extreme.
