The Cathedral Cave tour is easy walking with some stairs.

Absolutely, photography is permitted in the caves.

The spectacular Capricorn Caves, located north of Rockhampton, are a unique system of above-ground caves in a limestone ridge. First discovered in 1881, it opened to the public in 1884 and is the largest privately-owned cave system in Australia.

The 45-min guided Cathedral Cave tour is a popular choice with something for everyone. It's excellent for all ages. The Cathedral Cave tour is electrically lit with LED solar-powered lights, so there are no spooky, scary parts.

Showcasing the largest and most spectacular caves, this walk leaves you with lasting memories of ancient geological history, early explorers, wildlife wonders, and exceptional cave acoustics. See rare ferns, huge tree roots, and even spot some of the local bat population that calls the caves home.

Experienced local guides deliver the captivating stories of this ancient Australian landscape on small-scale interpretive tours.
