Christchurch 
Depart Christchurch and travel inland through the Canterbury Plains as your knowledgeable guide shares fascinating insights into the city&#39;s history and surrounding landscapes.

Selwyn District 
Journey through the productive Selwyn District, home to many of New Zealand&#39;s key agricultural and horticultural industries.

Springfield &amp; Alpine Jet Thrills (45 minutes) 
Arrive in Springfield before visiting Alpine Jet Thrills. Enjoy time to explore the area with scenic walks, views of the Waimakariri River, and the opportunity to meet friendly sheep. For those seeking extra adventure, an optional 30-minute jet boat ride is available at an additional cost.

Lake Lyndon (5 minutes) 
Pause at the picturesque alpine Lake Lyndon (Te Hāpua Waikawa), nestled beneath Porters Pass and renowned for its beautiful mountain setting.

Castle Hill (1 hour) 
Explore the remarkable limestone rock formations of Castle Hill (Kura Tāwhiti), one of Canterbury&#39;s most recognisable natural attractions. Wander independently among the towering rock formations, famous for inspiring Middle-earth&trade; and appearing in The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe.

Lake Pearson (5 minutes) 
Stop at the beautiful glacial Lake Pearson (Ōpōrea), surrounded by the Southern Alps and traditionally used as a mahinga kai (food gathering) site by local iwi.

Otira Gorge Lookout (15 minutes) 
Take in breathtaking views of the impressive 440-metre Otira Viaduct and the surrounding alpine landscape. Keep an eye out for the cheeky Kea, New Zealand&#39;s unique alpine parrot.

Arthur&#39;s Pass Village (1 hour) 
Arrive in Arthur&#39;s Pass Village, located 740 metres above sea level in the heart of the Southern Alps. Depending on the weather and available time, choose between:

	<li>Devils Punch Bowl Walk &ndash; A self-guided walk of approximately one hour through native beech forest to the spectacular 131-metre Devils Punch Bowl Waterfall. The track has a gradual incline with steps and is suitable for those with low to moderate fitness.</li>
	<li>Arthur&#39;s Pass Village &ndash; Relax with a coffee, browse local shops, and enjoy the charming alpine village atmosphere.</li>
</ul>

TranzAlpine Scenic Train 
Board the iconic TranzAlpine for your return journey to Christchurch. Relax in comfort while admiring spectacular alpine scenery, braided rivers, high-country stations, horseshoe bends, and expansive mountain landscapes. Make the most of the open-air viewing carriage for unforgettable panoramic views.

Christchurch 
Upon arrival at Christchurch Railway Station, your guide will meet you and transfer you back to your original pick-up location, concluding a memorable day exploring Arthur&#39;s Pass.

Please note: As this tour operates in an alpine environment, weather conditions can change quickly. The itinerary may be adjusted due to weather, road conditions, operational requirements, or other unforeseen circumstances.
