Your booking includes an Environmental Access Fee that supports conservation projects and helps protect Abel Tasman National Park.

Participants must be at least 12 years old. Guests under 18 must be accompanied by an adult on a 1:1 ratio.

You might get wet during the paddling so, we recommend wearing quick drying clothes to paddle in. Shorts, t-shirt (long sleeves are preferable), warm top (wool/fleece) are ideal. Please do not wear jeans.

Yes. No previous kayaking experience is required. Your guide will provide a full safety briefing before departure.

Experience the best of Abel Tasman National Park by combining a guided sea kayaking adventure with an unguided coastal walk. Paddle past the Astrolabe Islands, secluded beaches and dramatic granite headlands before exploring part of the famous Abel Tasman Coast Track on foot.

The southern end of the national park boasts some of the Abel Tasman&rsquo;s most picturesque scenery. Here, you&rsquo;ll find twelve stunning beaches, awe-inspiring rock formations, and opportunities to spot a seal or two. From the kayak, catch glimpses of the coastal track and experience the enchantment of the Astrolabe Islands up close.

Enjoy lunch at Observation Beach before spending the afternoon walking unguided the coastal track. Discover clear streams, native bush and breathtaking panoramas over the Astrolabe Islands. As you approach Marahau, the Marahau causeway marks the final leg of your journey&mdash;a stunning spot to reflect upon an unforgettable day.

Please note this trip may run in reverse, the kayak portion is guided and the walk unguided.

	<li>8.30 am: Walk unguided to Observation Beach approx 3 hrs</li>
	<li>12.15 pm:Meet your guide at Observation Beach and enjoy lunch</li>
	<li>1.00 pm: Kayak briefing</li>
	<li>1.30 pm: Kayak from Observation Beach back to Marahau. If conditions permit sail back home. Kayak approx 2 hrs with breaks</li>
	<li>4.00 pm: Arrive back in Marahau</li>
