Kaitiaki Adventures

Its about time there was another public outcry over the shortage of access to the present iconic mountain. Its a part of us kiwi’s heritage, a part of who we are. We all loved to visit the place until 2002 when all us locals were banned from entry from two local maori tribes who claimed ownership and decided to shut the access off! This is such a shame.

Very bad experience

Very enjoyable and relaxed experience during a magical spot. The guides were helpful and knowledgeable and made the hike gripping and fun

Fun and relaxed tour

This hike is demanding, requiring A level of fitness but well well worth the experience. Forget about the helicopter , there's a way of accomplishment and exhilaration and well earned fatigue from getting up close and private with the maunga

Hiking the Maunga

The views are mind boggling. I can only say approval for Kaitiaki adventures üëç
