Boulder City was purpose-built in the 1930s to support workers constructing the Hoover Dam. Its history is closely linked to one of the largest public works projects in American history, making it an important destination for anyone interested in engineering, history, and the development of the American West.

Comfortable walking shoes, sunscreen, sunglasses, water, and a fully charged smartphone are recommended. A camera is also a great idea for capturing the town's historic architecture and scenic surroundings.

Yes, the self-guided format makes it suitable for visitors of all ages. Families, history enthusiasts, and independent travellers can enjoy the flexibility and educational content throughout the tour.

During this self-guided tour, you'll be picked up from the Las Vegas strip and travel about 45 minutes to the historic Boulder City, a charming town that will transport you back in time.

Explore antique shops, famous eateries, fascinating exhibits, the historic Boulder Dam Hotel and Museum (with free admission), and more. Created as a worker's camp in the 1930s, Boulder City retains much of the charm and feel from the first days of its creation.

Some of the many sites and activities that you can enjoy on your own are fun cafes with indoor and outdoor dining, the Boulder Bowl, a small town bowling alley since 1947 and the Art Walk, featuring many bronze statues around the town, some historical and some whimsical. Don't miss this opportunity to explore Boulder city at your own pace.
