A private city walking tour of New York City can be from 2 hours - 8 hours, depending on the destination. While many visitors to New York have specific sites they would like to see, many are happy to let our team create a custom itinerary that fits their interests, budget, mobility, and timeline. Typically, tours spend most of their time in and around the five boroughs of New York City, but we welcome any ideas for your dream tour.

No two groups are alike, and we will plan a trip tailored to your group's interests, budget, and needs. Below are some sample itineraries to use as inspiration for your perfect tour:

Highlights

Greenwich Village

Your private Greenwich Village walking tour takes place in this small Manhattan neighborhood known for its tree-lined streets and charming brick townhouses. You’ll learn about the neighborhood’s counterculture past, connection to the nearby New York University, and the incredible food and drink scene you can enjoy following the tour!

Washington Square Park

Your Greenwich Village walking tour starts in this small park packed with history. While it’s known for its massive Memorial Arch, we’ll uncover its deeper history, from Native American settlement to urban green space. We may be lucky enough to catch a live performance by a local street busker, who you might want to throw a few bucks or follow online – you never know, they could be the next big thing!

The Stonewall Inn

Your New York City walking tour will wrap up at this historic landmark, known for the 1959 riots that helped promote the fight for LGBTQ rights. Your tour guide will lead you through the events leading up to the riots and the impact they had on the gay liberation movement. Following the tour, we’ll encourage you to stop in for a drink and support their case as a safe place for the LGBTQ community!

Comedy Cellar

Your tour will pass by this legendary Manhattan comedy club where many of today’s top comedians got their start, including Jon Stewart, Robin WIlliams, Patton Oswalt, and many more.

Cafe Wha?

Many musicians and comedians performed early on in their careers at this historic Greenwich Village music club, including Bob Dylan, Jimi Hendrix, Joan Rivers, and many more.

Caffe Reggio

Our Manhattan walking tour includes a pass by this historic cafe, opened in 1927, and known not only for its many cameos in major films but purportedly being the first American cafe to serve cappuccino!

Community Impact

Our tours are designed with our communities first in mind, offering opt-in stops that support small businesses, restaurants, and food stands in Greenwich Village.

We’ll pass by a neighborhood community garden, where we’ll discussing the importance of locally grown food, urban green spaces, and horticulture education.

During our tour, we may see musicians performing live and offer the chance to our travelers to support local and up-and-coming artists.
